- Foldable design
- Adjustable nose clip, two head straps
- Protection against solid particles and aerosols
- For single use for up to 8 hours
TAMREX X-Air Fold FFP3V is a foldable FFP3 filtering half mask with an exhalation valve that protects your respiratory system against airborne solid particles and water- and liquid-based aerosols. With its high filtration efficiency, the filtering half mask can filter at least 99% of particles and features a nose clip you can adjust to fit your face and two head straps. The exhalation valve helps reduce heat and moisture build-up inside the mask, making it more comfortable to wear.
FFP3 protection class – at least 99% filtration efficiency
The filtering half mask complies with European standard EN 149:2001+A1:2009 and belongs to protection class FFP3 NR.
FFP3 is the highest protection class for filtering half masks, with a filter material efficiency of at least 99%. This means that, under the test conditions specified in the standard, no more than 1% of test particles pass through the filter material.
Filtration efficiency has been tested using sodium chloride (NaCl) and paraffin oil aerosols at an airflow rate of 95 l/min. Breathing resistance is up to 30 mm H₂O.
The filtering half mask has an assigned protection factor (APF) of 20.
Exhalation valve reduces heat and moisture build-up
The filtering half mask is equipped with an exhalation valve that helps reduce the build-up of heat and moisture from exhaled air inside the mask. This makes the filtering half mask more comfortable to wear, especially during prolonged use.
It is important to note that the exhalation valve does not filter exhaled air. This filtering half mask is therefore not suitable for situations where you need to protect other people or maintain a sterile environment.
Practical foldable design
The foldable design allows you to pack and store the filtering half mask compactly.
Each filtering half mask is individually packed in a plastic wrapper, which protects it during storage and must only be opened immediately before use.
Before putting on the mask, you must check its condition and expiry date.
Adjustable nose clip and two head straps
To fit the filtering half mask, place it under your chin and over your nose. Position the upper head strap high at the back of your head and the lower strap below your ears. The head straps must lie flat without twists.
Shape the nose clip to your face using both hands to achieve the tightest possible fit.
Always check the seal of the filtering half mask before entering a contaminated environment. If you cannot eliminate air leakage between the mask and your face, you must not use the filtering half mask. A beard, moustache or the shape of your face may impair the seal and reduce protection.
Protection against solid particles and aerosols
The filtering half mask is designed to protect your respiratory system against solid particles and water- and liquid-based aerosols.
The filtering half mask does not protect against gases or vapours. You must not use it in environments where the oxygen content is below 19.5%, where there is a risk of explosion, or where the composition and concentration of contaminants are unknown or immediately life-threatening.
You must select suitable respiratory protective equipment based on a workplace risk assessment. You must have received the necessary training.
Single use for up to 8 hours
The NR (Non-Reusable) marking means that the filtering half mask is intended for single use during one work shift, for a maximum of 8 hours.
You must wear the filtering half mask the entire time you are in a contaminated environment. You must replace the mask if it is damaged, dirty or damp, or if breathing becomes more difficult. You must also replace the mask after removing it in a contaminated environment.
You must not wash or reuse the filtering half mask.
If you experience an allergic reaction, leave the hazardous area, remove the filtering half mask and seek medical advice.
Details
You must store the filtering half mask in its original packaging, protected from direct sunlight, solvents, freezing and mechanical damage. You must follow the temperature and humidity requirements stated on the packaging.
