The new Solid Gear winter boots, with taller shafts and a wide last, are exceptionally comfortable, remarkably light, stylish and very warm, while meeting all the requirements for safety boots. Every detail of this pair has been carefully considered, and only premium materials have been used.
The rubber outsole compound and tread provide excellent grip on the ground (SRC). The heat-resistant (HRO) sole withstands oils and mild chemicals. The tread is easy to clean and does not collect snow or dirt during use, helping keep your home, car or workplace cleaner and drier. Protection is provided by lightweight metal-free components: a fibreglass safety toe cap and a composite puncture-resistant insert (P).
The fibreglass toe cap is thin but highly durable (200J), non-magnetic, compact and lightweight (only 60g compared with 90g for a steel toe cap). Metal-free fibreglass does not conduct heat or cold.
The advanced microfibre uppers have a hydrophobic (water-repellent) treatment, while allowing moisture produced by the body to escape effectively. TPU reinforcements protect high-wear areas and extend the boots’ service life. The comfortably soft, supportive sole is made from exceptionally breathable PU foam. The insole is perforated, allowing the footwear to dry quickly between wears. A plush polyester lining retains warmth and protects against the cold.
These comfortable high-cut safety boots feature a BOA® fastening mechanism that secures the shaft snugly and reliably around the leg. The innovative BOA® system improves ease of use and safety. There are no loose laces to catch on anything. Putting the boots on and taking them off is easier than ever. BOA® is robust and reliable and works simply: lift the dial to release the lace. Put on the boot, press the dial in and turn until the footwear is securely fastened. BOA® provides a stable fit and comfort throughout the day. Other benefits include even lace tension and excellent durability. In winter, you can also open and close the boots without taking off your gloves.
Although the Solid Gear Shore boots have heat-resistant soles, their uppers are not fire-resistant and should be kept away from open flames.
Care for your footwear regularly: dry it, brush off heavy dirt and wash when necessary. Occasionally treat the boots with a footwear spray to renew their water resistance.
