Durable construction

Solid Gear Ion S mid-cut safety boots have been developed primarily for the uneven and changing surfaces of construction sites. The various materials and technologies work together to deliver the protection and durability needed at work.

These boots are designed for long working days and heavy-duty tasks. Their construction brings together different technologies and solutions to suit environments where work involves constant movement and surfaces may be uneven and unpredictable.

In addition to the S3L protection class, the footwear's certified properties include HRO heat resistance, FO resistance to fuel oil, SC toe-area abrasion protection, SR slip resistance and CI cold insulation.

Premium leather and Cordura®

The footwear uses premium leather and Cordura® fabric. These materials are combined with the other technical features to support use during long working days and in demanding conditions.

BOA Fit System fastening system

The Boa® Fit System quick-fastening system makes securing the footwear fast, precise and convenient. It consists of a micro-adjustable dial, a strong, lightweight lace and friction-resistant guides.

The dial allows the fit to be adjusted in tiny increments. The light yet extremely strong lace ensures reliability, while the guides allow it to move smoothly each time the footwear is used.

Boa® helps achieve an even, personalised fit throughout the working day. The system has been tested in dust, sand and dirt.

The Boa® quick-fastening system is warranted for the lifetime of the footwear pair.

Fibreglass safety toe cap and textile penetration protection

The boots protect both the toes and the soles of the feet. The fibreglass safety toe cap provides the necessary impact protection, while the flexible textile penetration-resistant midsole helps protect the sole against sharp objects.

The textile penetration protection supports the footwear's flexible construction and, together with the fibreglass safety toe cap, forms a key part of the boots' protective design.

Oil-, slip- and heat-resistant outsole

The rubber outsole is resistant to oil and slipping and designed to provide secure footing on different surfaces. HRO denotes outsole heat resistance, while CI denotes cold insulation.

Wide fit

The wide last provides extra room for the foot and suits long working shifts.

The insole is made from open-cell PU foam.

S3L safety classification

The footwear complies with EN ISO 20345:2022+A1:2024 and has the safety classifications S3L, HRO, FO, SC, SR and CI.

These safety boots are designed for long shifts, heavy-duty work and the demanding, unpredictable surfaces of construction sites.
