Two-layer functional fabric

Made from a high-quality blend of merino wool and Coolmax® polyester, this sweatshirt is designed for cold conditions and works well as a mid-layer in a layered clothing system.

The double-knit construction combines the different properties of natural merino wool and technical Coolmax® polyester in one material. Coolmax® sits next to the skin, with merino wool on the outside. Each material has a different role: the inner layer moves moisture away from the body, while the outer layer helps retain warmth and allows moisture to evaporate.

Natural benefits of merino wool

Soft merino wool forms the outer layer. It takes up moisture from the Coolmax® inner layer, distributes it and allows it to evaporate, while helping retain body heat.

Merino wool has natural antibacterial properties that help reduce unpleasant body odours during active use.

The merino wool used is 100% mulesing-free.

Coolmax® moisture-wicking technology

The Coolmax® layer next to the skin rapidly moves moisture produced by perspiration away from the body. The channelled fibre structure helps transfer moisture to the outer merino wool layer.

Coolmax® does not absorb water into the fibre itself, so the layer next to the skin does not become wet and cold in the same way during heavy sweating.

The Coolmax® inner layer is also a practical solution for those who do not find soft merino wool comfortable directly against the skin.

Warm and breathable mid-layer

Merino wool's heat-retaining properties complement the moisture management of Coolmax® technology. During physical activity, moisture is moved away from the body while the outer wool layer helps retain warmth.

This makes the sweatshirt suitable for cold conditions and layered clothing, where both warmth and effective moisture management are required from a mid-layer.

Durable 320 g/m² hybrid fabric

The double-knit construction and polyester content provide additional mechanical strength and abrasion resistance.

The material consists of 50% merino wool and 50% Coolmax® polyester, 320 g/m².

The product carries the OEKO-TEX® SE 12-207 label.

Practical details

An adjustable hem allows the fit to be customised, while cuffs with thumbholes help keep the sleeves in place during movement.

Zipped side pockets provide convenient storage for essential items. The full-length two-way zip also allows the sweatshirt to be opened from the bottom, improving comfort when sitting or squatting.
