Similar yellow-and-blue patterned gloves can be found everywhere, but their protective properties and quality are not the same as those of these Mapa gloves, whose manufacturer originally developed and introduced this type of glove to the market.

Cheap copies are usually sold simply as household gloves and may be made from almost any material, providing no real protection against anything other than water, and sometimes not even that. Customers should therefore ask the glove retailer for more information.

When handling solvents such as acetone, neoprene provides very good hand protection. By contrast, latex, vinyl or nitrile may melt or stretch out of shape. Neoprene is highly chemical-resistant, so it is important to ensure the gloves are made from the correct material.

When handling different chemicals, it is important to check what glove material can be used and for how long. Consult the gloves' chemical resistance chart to make sure the gloves are suitable. None of our customers has had to go without gloves, and the products in our range withstand all common mild household chemicals. For contact with particularly aggressive chemicals, consult our sales manager, who can offer a bespoke solution if required.
