The 3M™ PELTOR™ ComTac™ VIII headset with microphone is a next-generation tactical headset offering hearing protection, awareness of the surrounding environment and high-quality communication in challenging, noisy settings.
The headset lets safe sounds through while harmful noise is attenuated or reduced to a safe level. Mission Audio Profiles (MAP) allow users to adjust the sound environment to operational needs.
The device provides reliable communication for military and tactical units through a noise-cancelling microphone and automatic sound management (Soundscape), improving speech intelligibility in noisy situations.
The earplug mode allows additional hearing protection to be used, while retaining the ability to hear important sounds.
The headset has a low-profile headband that can easily be adapted to ARC-type rail mounts, plus an IP68-certified microphone offering protection against wind and water to a depth of 3 m.
Power is supplied by two AAA batteries, providing up to 50h of operating time. The headset has an automatic power-off function after 4h of inactivity. Equipped with NATO J11-type cabling.
Size: one size fits all.
