A simple smoke alarm powered by a 9V battery (included), suitable for domestic use. The battery replacement interval is approximately once a year.
Before installation, carefully read the enclosed instructions and follow all specified requirements.
The optical smoke alarm warns of smoke spreading in the room with a loud acoustic signal (85 dB). The test button can be used to check that the alarm is working; a short, periodically repeated signal indicates a low battery.
The smoke alarm has a hush button (PUSH TO HUSH). Holding it for 5 seconds silences an alarm for 10 minutes. During hush mode it emits a short beep at one-minute intervals. Normal operation resumes after ten minutes. If smoke remains in the room, the alarm sounds again; if the smoke has been cleared, the unit stays in its normal operating mode.
When testing the smoke alarm, there is no need to press the hush button. If the test signal is nevertheless silenced, the alarm enters hush mode for 10 minutes and indicates this with a short beep every minute. Normal operation resumes automatically after ten minutes and the beeping stops.
Supplied with a ceiling mounting bracket, screws and wall plugs for fixing it to the ceiling, and a battery. Three-year warranty. Complies with EN 14604.
To keep the smoke alarm working properly and prevent false alarms, regularly clean it with a vacuum cleaner or compressed air to remove accumulated dust and other particles from the sensing chamber.
