SOLID GEAR Talus Gore-Tex waterproof winter safety boots S3 HRO WR SRC ESD
Warm winter boots with a Gore-Tex membrane are waterproof and breathable. The uppers combine durable microfibre and high-quality leather, while the PU midsole provides excellent shock absorption. A warm, fleecy polyester lining protects against the cold.
Thanks to their comfort, light weight and attractive appearance, they are also excellent winter boots for everyday wear.
These new ergonomic winter safety boots with a wide fit are exceptionally comfortable, surprisingly lightweight, stylish, warm and waterproof, while meeting all requirements for safety boots. Every detail of the boots has been carefully considered, and only premium materials have been used.
Uppers with a Gore-Tex membrane
For greater durability, the uppers combine lightweight, breathable microfibre with high-quality LWG-certified leather. TPU reinforcements protect high-wear areas, helping extend the life of the boots. A Gore-Tex layer provides excellent breathability and waterproof protection.
Gore-Tex is an excellent material that provides waterproofness (WR) while allowing excess heat to escape from the footwear. Each 1 square centimetre of Gore-Tex contains 3.5 billion pores, which are 20 000 times smaller than a water droplet but 700 times larger than a water vapour molecule. Water from outside therefore cannot pass through the pores, while water vapour generated inside the shoe can escape. This is how these boots remain waterproof and breathable.
The quick-fastening laces can be replaced with the classic laces supplied with the boots.
Cushioned midsole and warm lining
The comfortable, supportive moulded midsole is made from high-quality PU foam, providing lightness and cushioning with every step. The perforated insole promotes breathability and quick drying. A soft, fleecy polyester lining retains warmth and protects against the cold.
Outsole
The composition and tread pattern of the boots’ rubber outsole provide excellent grip on surfaces (SRC). The heat-resistant (HRO) sole withstands oils and mild chemicals. Its tread is easy to clean and does not pick up snow or dirt in use, helping to keep the home, car or workplace cleaner and drier.
Protective components
Protection is provided by lightweight, metal-free components: a fibreglass safety toe cap and a composite puncture-resistant sole (P). The fibreglass toe cap is slim yet highly durable (200J), non-magnetic, compact and lightweight (only 60g, compared with 90g for a steel toe cap). Metal-free fibreglass does not conduct heat or cold.
Although the sole of the Solid Gear Talus boots is heat-resistant, the microfibre uppers are not fire-resistant and should be kept away from open flames.
Care for the footwear regularly: dry it, brush off larger dirt deposits and wash when necessary. Treat the boots occasionally with a footwear spray to renew their water resistance.
EN ISO 20345:2011 S3, SRC, HRO, WR, CI; ESD functionality in accordance with EN IEC 61340-4-3:2018. Also suitable for the electronics industry and other workplaces where footwear with low electrical resistance is required (ESD).
