Reusable heating bag

The PRO-RATION flameless heating kit is based on a reusable bag that acts as a kind of oven for heating food. A sealed PRO-RATION meal is placed in the bag along with a heating pad, and no electricity, gas or stove is needed to heat it.

The kit is suitable for your emergency supplies, for situations where conventional ways of heating food are unavailable.

Single-use heating pads

The heating pad contains quicklime, or calcium oxide, in a cellulose wrapper. Contact with water triggers a reaction that releases heat and steam. The heat generated warms the meal inside the bag in a few minutes.

The system works without fire, smoke or flames, allowing you to enjoy a hot meal even during a power cut or another unexpected situation.

The kit includes one reusable heating bag and 10 single-use quicklime pads.

Works with just water

Just 90 ml of water is enough to activate one heating pad. The water you use to activate the heating pad does not need to be safe to drink. You can use water from a stream or puddle, or rainwater, for example.

This allows you to save valuable drinking water for drinking in an emergency and use other available water to heat your food.

Heat two meals at once

You can also heat two meals at once in one heating bag. To do this, you need to use two heating pads and twice the amount of water.

This way, you can prepare a hot meal for two people at the same time using one reusable heating bag.
