Honeywell’s premium optical smoke alarm is a reliable safety device that is very easy to use. Its design, materials and production methods are based on the latest technology to reduce false alarms caused by dust, dirt, insects and similar factors. The smoke alarm is equipped with a self-check function that signals a fault or malfunction, as well as a low battery when the 10-year period comes to an end.

We also recommend testing the smoke alarm manually at least once a month by pressing its cover, which acts as a test/silence button, for 3 seconds. If you hear three short beeps in succession, the alarm is functioning.

The expiry date of the power source is printed on the side of the alarm. The smoke alarm also gives an early low-battery warning by flashing and beeping 1 x every 40 seconds. Obtain a new smoke alarm and start another carefree 10-year period.

The low-battery warning sound on the Honeywell smoke alarm can be silenced by pressing its cover (the entire cover acts as a test and silence button). The alarm will continue to flash 1 x every 40 seconds but will no longer sound. This gives you time to buy a new smoke alarm.

Prolonged, continuous exposure to low or high temperatures or high humidity reduces the power source’s service life. The smoke alarm’s operating temperature is 0°C- 40°C and the suitable humidity range is 25% - 93%.
