Protection level 2

Protection level 2 is suitable for medium to high noise environments (SNR 25) where a risk assessment has identified noise levels of 90–110 decibels.

Hellberg hearing protectors are divided into three protection levels, combining comfort with effective protection:

• Protection level 1 (75–90 dB, SNR 25), identified by green ear cups
• Protection level 2 (90–110 dB, SNR 29), identified by yellow ear cups
• Protection level 3 (100–115 dB, SNR 31), identified by red ear cups

Slim and lightweight

At just 271 g, the earmuffs are lightweight and fit securely and comfortably. Effective protection and excellent comfort must be maintained throughout the working day.

The close-fitting design is comfortable and enhances safety by reducing the risk of the ear cups snagging on branches or other obstructions.

Functional

The ear cups have three positions. When hearing protection is not needed for a longer period, the cups can be folded back behind the helmet. For work involving short intervals of use, they can be moved into an intermediate stand-by position slightly away from the ears. When protection is needed, the cups can be pushed over the ears in one movement. Hearing protection must be worn throughout exposure to noisy environments.

The ear cushions are soft and comfortable against the head, with foam filling and a smooth outer surface that resists perspiration. The cushions can be easily replaced using the snap-in system. Regular replacement maintains good hygiene and wearing comfort.

The height of the ear cups is adjustable.

Durable

Made from durable materials throughout, the earmuffs withstand demanding working conditions. The helmet attachment is made from strong steel and withstands at least 10,000 fastening cycles, corresponding to an average service life of 5 years with daily use.

Compatible with most helmets

Hellberg helmet-mounted earmuffs have been approved and tested for use with the most common safety helmets. Compatibility has been confirmed for more than 45 helmet models. The full list is available in the attached document.
