COFRA Total Reflex Boa® safety shoes S1 P ESD SRC
These innovative shoes have uppers that flash in a beam of light in the dark. They are lightweight, breathable and feature a comfortable, highly durable BOA® quick-fastening system. Protection is provided by a fibreglass toe cap, puncture-resistant midsole (P), slip-resistant outsole (SRC) and shock-absorbing gel pads under the sole. The shoes also have very low electrical resistance (ESD).
The striking uppers are made from durable, breathable textile. The inner lining is made from tough, hard-wearing 3D polyester fabric Dryfresh, which also breathes, absorbs moisture and wicks it away.
The perfumed, perforated Salus insole is moulded from antistatic polyurethane (PU) foam and adapts to different foot shapes. This provides appropriate support at every contact point throughout the working day. The material creates a cushioning effect underfoot without affecting correct posture while walking or adopting different positions.
The shoe is completely metal-free. Its lightweight fibreglass toe cap is thin yet highly resistant (200J), non-magnetic, compact and light (only 60g compared with 90g for a steel toe cap). Metal-free fibreglass does not conduct heat or cold.
Zero Perforation puncture-resistant (P) polyethylene midsole is made from an exceptional PEP material (almost entirely recycled fabric). It provides 100% protection, is also antistatic (A), even lighter (55% lighter than other textile soles), more flexible and softer, while its honeycomb structure provides exceptional thermal insulation.
The wide, sporty outsole is designed to improve overall comfort through three rings made from a special elastic material that support the heel and metatarsal area. These three support points adapt to each wearer’s weight and absorb the applied load as required. Developed in COFRA laboratories, the low-electrical-resistance thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) sole is even lighter, more comfortable and highly slip-resistant (SRC).
Protective properties of the outsole
The innovative BOA® fastening system improves ease of use and safety. There are no loose laces to catch on anything, and putting on and taking off the shoes is easier than ever. BOA® is strong and secure, and works simply: lift the dial to release the cable. Put on the shoe, press the dial down and turn it towards the outside of the foot until the shoe is firmly secured. The shoe will then stay securely in place all day; BOA® does not release or loosen by itself during the working day. Other BOA® advantages include even tension and exceptional durability (the steel cable does not break).
Suitable for use in the electronics industry (ESD) or wherever footwear with low electrical resistance is required. ESD-certified footwear provides continuous dissipation of static electricity within the more stringent EN 61340-5-1 standard range of 0.1MΩ to 35 MΩ. Most safety shoes provide ordinary antistatic protection (A), but their electrical resistance ranges from 0.1 MΩ to 1000 MΩ, which is too broad for more sensitive workplaces. COFRA ESD-certified shoes are equipped with the highest technical specifications to achieve the best conductivity values. All COFRA ESD footwear is designed to have very low electrical resistance. Wearing this footwear can minimise the risk of electrostatic charges causing fires or explosions.
