For the best protection and comfort, it is worth keeping a few different pairs of gloves in your wardrobe. A wider selection lets you choose the right pair for the weather, the task and your activity level.
TAMREX gloves – designed and developed in Estonia
We develop our gloves with our team at the TAMREX head office in Tallinn. We have built up our experience and knowledge of glove manufacturing over 15 years, and today we can proudly place our work, sports and leisure gloves alongside the best in the world.
Each glove model takes 1.5–2 years of work before it reaches the shop shelves. The starting point is either an idea of our own or a specific need from one of our major customers. We then work with various material manufacturers to find the options that meet our high standards. Development continues with our partner factories in Asia. From a large pool of suppliers, we have sought out highly capable manufacturers who can produce gloves to our instructions, using our selected materials, specified patterns and designs.
When the first samples arrive, our development team assesses the result and quality, then sends the factory the required corrections and changes. Fine-tuning the sizing takes the most time. It generally takes 4–5 rounds of sample revisions to arrive at a final model that meets our expectations. Testing follows, usually lasting around 6 months. If we are satisfied with the test results, we give the factory the green light to start production. Some time later, we can introduce the new glove model to our customers.
Around 70 TAMREX glove models in total have been through the lengthy process described above. Many older models have undergone several updates over time to improve an important feature or incorporate new materials and technologies. We keep up with the latest trends and changing customer needs, creating new glove models and refining existing ones.
New TAMREX winter gloves – an unprecedented standard you simply have to try
Comfort. Functionality. Protection. Design.
Come and try our newly arrived winter gloves, which take comfort and ease of use to a new level. This premium collection combines exceptional comfort, softness, durability and functionality.
The new collection includes soft and warm WoolSync merino wool gloves, lightweight and stylish WinterLite gloves, attractive WarmTouch fleece gloves, lightweight, waterproof and warm WinterSport gloves, and warm ArcticLeather gloves made from tough leather.
You will also find an updated version of one of our customers’ favourites, the TouchGrip Thermo winter glove. Keeping the same fit, cut and comfort, we have created an even warmer winter glove: TouchGrip Thermo Ultrawarm, which keeps your hands warm even in extreme conditions.
We have also created our first pair of gloves with a heating element, an essential aid if your hobby or work keeps you in particularly cold conditions for long periods at a time.
All winter gloves in the new collection are touchscreen-compatible. This is an important additional feature if you need to use touchscreens in the cold.
Good equipment is not just a tool – it is a way of life
That is why we have created a winter glove collection that knows no boundaries between work, hobbies and leisure. Each model is a masterpiece in its own right, with its own identity, idea and purpose.
In the new collection, we use the best materials and technology, the expertise of our own development team and valuable feedback from our long-standing, demanding customers.
TAMREX PRO gloves for those who demand premium quality
The TAMREX PRO glove range delivers the best possible quality in every detail – from the choice and variety of materials and expertly tailored cuts down to the very last thread. Carefully considered, attractive design completes the package.
In the PRO range, we use only tried-and-tested, recognised leading technologies such as Thinsulate™ insulation, Velcro® hook-and-loop fastenings, a Hipora® waterproof and breathable membrane, TouchScreen touchscreen-compatible fingertips, Scotchlite™ reflective elements and more.
3M Thinsulate™ insulation
Depending on the model, PRO gloves feature a 160–200 g/m² fleece lining with Thinsulate™ insulation in various thicknesses (G60–G120) beneath it: a thin, breathable, abrasion-resistant and moisture-repellent material with excellent heat retention, even when compressed. This allows us to make very warm gloves with a seemingly thin lining and good tactile sensitivity.
Fleece linings are common in winter gloves. Thinsulate™, however, is a functional additional layer of insulation between the glove lining and outer material. Products with Thinsulate™ insulation always carry the corresponding label.
Velcro® hook-and-loop fastenings
Hook-and-loop fastenings are a weak point in so-called budget gloves. It is not uncommon for these fastenings to stop working after only a short period of use, even though the gloves themselves are still fit to wear. Velcro® hook-and-loop fastenings are truly long-lasting. You can wear your gloves out and the Velcro® will still work.
Attractive, sporty design
Another distinctive feature of PRO gloves is their attractive design and clever combinations of different materials. This makes the gloves more complex, time-consuming and expensive to manufacture, but the functionality, comfort and protection achieved make it worth the effort.
PRO gloves offer good grip and protection at the palm, flexibility, stretch and breathability at the back, and softness and flexibility between the fingers. Scotchlite™ reflective strips add visibility in the dark.
Waterproof winter gloves
In wet conditions, it is important that your gloves are waterproof. This is achieved with a Hipora® membrane, which consists of three ultra-thin layers of microporous material. The pores in the material are large enough to let excess heat escape from the glove, yet small enough to keep water out.
Extra-warm winter gloves
When the weather is extremely cold, or you spend long periods outdoors with moderate or low levels of physical activity, you need to wear very warm gloves.
The TAMREX glove range includes models in which we have added thicker Thinsulate™ insulation (G100–G120) beneath the warm fleece lining (200 g/m²). A waterproof membrane also helps keep your hands warm for longer.
Thinner winter gloves
On milder winter days or during more active work, your hands can quickly get too hot in very warm gloves, so winter gloves with a thinner lining may be a better choice. For these gloves, we have chosen a 60–180 g/m² fleece lining with a thinner layer of Thinsulate™, G60–G80 insulation underneath.
Thinner winter gloves generally give you greater freedom of hand movement, and air circulates more quickly between the layers. They also give you a better sense of touch, making it easier to handle smaller objects.
Winter gloves with TouchScreen material
Modern material technologies allow you to use touchscreens while wearing gloves. Our range includes a variety of winter gloves with fingertips made from TouchScreen material, so you can answer phone calls and use tablets or screens in warmth and comfort in cold weather. Touch sensitivity may be slightly reduced when using a screen protector.
Synthetic winter gloves
Synthetic material is durable, water-repellent and offers excellent grip. Synthetic gloves are also flexible and give your hands freedom of movement. The material dries quickly and, unlike genuine leather, retains its elasticity, flexibility and softness after drying.
We use the finest synthetic materials to make our gloves, tested for durability and free from harmful chemicals.

Natural leather winter gloves
The TAMREX range also includes natural leather winter gloves: gloves made from soft, thin goatskin, thicker and tougher cowhide, or pigskin. Despite the rise of synthetic materials, natural leather remains a popular and functional material for gloves.
Natural leather is soft and flexible, offers good grip, and is durable and breathable. We use only carefully selected, top-quality full-grain leather to make our gloves.
Goatskin is thin and soft, yet durable. A goatskin glove moulds to your hand (particularly noticeable with unlined gloves). Goatskin is naturally water-repellent and breathable, and provides excellent tactile sensitivity.
Cowhide is slightly thicker and withstands abrasion better, but offers less tactile sensitivity than goatskin. Cowhide is also water-repellent and breathable.
Pigskin gloves are stiffer than cowhide and goatskin gloves and offer less tactile sensitivity. Pigskin gloves are also slightly less water-repellent, as pigskin has larger pores, allowing water to penetrate the glove more quickly.
Leather quality is indicated by the grades C, B, AB, A or the highest quality grade, A+. The differences depend, among other things, on which part of the animal's body the hide comes from (varying in strength, thickness and elasticity) and whether damaged hide is also used. Just as human skin is not flawless, animals suffer injuries during their lives that leave scars. These can become weak points in the raw material.
We make our gloves from A+ grade full-grain leather, a carefully selected, flawless and durable material. When buying leather products, always make sure the product is made from full-grain leather! Many so-called budget products use the lower layers of split leather, coated with PU or a similar chemical. The name may suggest a leather product, but its properties are significantly inferior.
Please note! Leather gloves must be stored and used in dry conditions, as gloves that get wet may lose their elasticity after drying.
Work gloves with a latex foam coating – a secure grip
Warm, comfortable gloves with a durable latex foam coating are suitable for various general tasks on construction sites, in warehouses, as well as in the forest, when fishing, around the home and elsewhere.
Warm, soft, flexible and breathable, latex foam retains its properties even in extreme cold and provides an excellent grip in both dry and wet conditions.
Leisure gloves
Whether you are working, training or enjoying another leisure activity, your body works in the same way.
TAMREX work gloves are a tried-and-tested, reliable choice if you want proven, top-level performance in your leisure time too. With their sporty design, these stylish, functional gloves are suitable for any setting.
Merino wool gloves
Gloves containing merino wool deserve a special mention, as you can wear them in two ways. Try them under warm winter gloves when you need an extra layer in particularly cold conditions, or on their own when you need a thin, breathable layer of warmth for your hands.
These stretchy, thin merino wool gloves have touchscreen-compatible fingertips for using screens.
Winter gloves for children
We have also made our popular winter glove models in children's sizes. This means we can offer all the benefits of our tried-and-tested gloves to your little ones, whose wellbeing we often value even more than our own.
Tamrex glove know-how masterclass
Comfort
Good gloves must be comfortable. To achieve this, they must follow the natural shape and movement of your hands. When you let your hands hang freely, you will notice that your fingers and palms are slightly curved and your thumbs sit opposite your index fingers. Comfortable gloves are shaped this way using numerous cut panels. Truly comfortable gloves usually cost more because making them is labour-intensive, complex and time-consuming.
Skilfully combining functional materials also enhances comfort. Stretchy, breathable fabric on the back of the hand and between the fingers ensures freedom of movement, durable material on the palm protects against friction, and so-called smart material at the fingertips allows you to use touchscreens.
Functionality
The primary purpose of gloves is to protect your hands. The protection you need most depends on the specific nature of your work or activity. Good-quality gloves are comfortable, offer good tactile sensitivity and a secure grip, and are warm, waterproof and breathable. They protect you against injuries and abrasions. Depending on the model, gloves may also be resistant to punctures, heat, chemicals or sparks.
TAMREX Repair hand cream
If the skin on your hands is already damaged, use TAMREX Repair hand cream – an effective aid that helps your hands recover faster.
With its high urea content (10 %), the cream restores and repairs damaged or cracked skin, while also providing daily protection and hydration for healthy hands.
Fragrance-free, with a pleasantly light texture that absorbs easily, the cream gets to work straight away.
Originally developed for men, this effective hand cream has also become a favourite with many women!
