- For single use for up to 8 hours
TAMREX X-Air 3D FFP2V is a foldable FFP2-class filtering half mask with an exhalation valve, designed to protect your respiratory system against airborne solid particles and water- and liquid-based aerosols. Its three-dimensional design, mouldable nose clip and two headbands allow you to fit the mask to your face. The exhalation valve helps reduce the build-up of heat and moisture inside the mask.
FFP2 protection class – at least 94% filtration efficiency
The filtering half mask complies with European standard EN 149:2001+A1:2009 and is classified as FFP2 NR.
FFP2-class filter material has an efficiency of at least 94%, meaning that no more than 6% of test particles pass through the filter material under the test conditions specified in the standard.
Filtration efficiency has been tested using sodium chloride (NaCl) and paraffin oil aerosols at an airflow rate of 95 l/min. The measured breathing resistance is up to 24 mm H₂O.
The filtering half mask has an assigned protection factor (APF) of 10.
The exhalation valve reduces heat and moisture build-up
The filtering half mask is equipped with an exhalation valve that helps reduce the build-up of heat and moisture from exhaled air inside the mask. This makes the filtering half mask more comfortable to wear, especially during prolonged use.
The exhalation valve does not filter exhaled air. This filtering half mask is therefore unsuitable for situations where you need to protect other people or maintain a sterile environment.
Foldable 3D design
The TAMREX X-Air 3D filtering half mask has a three-dimensional, foldable design. This allows you to keep the filtering half mask in its individual plastic packaging until use. Open the packaging immediately before using the filtering half mask.
Adjustable nose clip and two headbands
To fit the filtering half mask, position it under your chin and over your nose. Place the upper headband high at the back of your head and the lower headband below your ears. The headbands must lie flat without twists.
Use both hands to mould the nose clip to the shape of your face for the closest possible fit.
Always check the seal of your filtering half mask before entering a contaminated environment. If you cannot eliminate air leakage between the mask and your face, you must not use the filtering half mask. A beard, moustache or the shape of your face may compromise the seal and reduce the level of protection.
Protection against solid particles and aerosols
The filtering half mask is designed to protect your respiratory system against solid particles and water- and liquid-based aerosols.
The filtering half mask does not protect against gases or vapours. You must also not use it in environments where the oxygen content is below 19.5%, there is a risk of explosion, or the composition and concentration of contaminants are unknown or life-threatening.
You must select suitable respiratory protective equipment based on a workplace risk assessment. You must have received the necessary training.
Single use for up to 8 hours
The NR (Non-Reusable) marking means that the filtering half mask is intended for single use during one work shift, for a maximum of 8 hours.
You must wear the filtering half mask throughout your time in a contaminated environment. Replace the mask if it becomes damaged, dirty or damp, or if breathing becomes more difficult. You must also replace the mask after removing it in a contaminated environment.
You must not wash or reuse the filtering half mask.
If you experience an allergic reaction, leave the hazardous area, remove the filtering half mask and seek medical advice.
Details
You must store the filtering half mask in its original packaging, protected from direct sunlight, solvents, freezing and mechanical damage. You must follow the temperature and humidity requirements stated on the packaging.
