TAMREX cotton-lined cowhide welding gloves
These one-piece-cut work gloves with a projecting thumb have palms entirely of premium full-grain cowhide. Both the long cuff (25 cm) and the hand are fully lined with cotton. The gloves also feature reinforced seams with Kevlar thread, leather edging and a bound cuff.
Gloves with palms of full-grain cowhide and backs and cuffs of split cowhide are extremely comfortable and durable, providing excellent hand protection for hot-work and welding tasks.
Compared with gloves with goatskin palms (item 44-326), cowhide gloves are thicker, stronger and more durable, but provide slightly less tactile sensitivity.
The back and cuff (25 cm long) are made from split cowhide because it provides better protection against sparks. Full cotton lining throughout the glove gives excellent heat protection and comfort. The thumb is reinforced where it experiences the most abrasion.
These gloves are sewn throughout with heat-resistant Kevlar thread. Seams are turned inwards and protected by inserted leather strips to extend the gloves’ service life.
Overall, these are excellent welding gloves that provide protection and improve working comfort.
Similar gloves with half lining, where only the cuff is cotton-lined, are available as welding gloves item 44-322. They offer the same excellent properties and somewhat better tactile sensitivity in the palms because the palms are unlined. However, note that item 44-322 provides slightly less heat protection in the palms.
