The Premium powder extinguisher has more durable stainless-steel valve components and handles, while its high-quality EPDM rubber hose withstands outdoor conditions (UV exposure, moisture, freezing temperatures, etc.) for longer.

The high-quality rubber hose makes it easy to direct the extinguishing jet. A small holder for the hose end, fitted to the robust plastic extinguisher base, allows neater and more convenient storage.

The option to check the pressure gauge and the safety valve support reliable and safe operation. The plastic base protector and robust, thick-walled metal cylinder contribute to a long service life of 30 years or more.

In addition to its pressure gauge, the extinguisher has a separate test valve through which the pressure can be measured using a portable instrument to verify the gauge reading. The gauge needle may not always indicate the pressure correctly. The separate test valve is an important extra safeguard for reliability.

The extinguisher has undergone a factory helium leak test, which provides more reliable leak detection than conventional testing with air.

Innovative E-Z safety pin

The most striking feature of the Premium extinguishers is the yellow device between the handles. This innovative E-Z safety pin secures the handles so that the extinguisher cannot be accidentally discharged while being transported, for example for inspection.

The innovative solution addresses a common problem highlighted by fire safety specialists. One in five people has difficulty removing the safety pin during extinguisher training. When preparing to extinguish a fire, users can inadvertently force the pin tightly between the handles and are then unable to pull it out. During training, instructors can intervene, but in an emergency fast, smooth action is essential.

The fire ratings marked on each extinguisher's label indicate which types of fire the particular device can extinguish. They also allow the performance of extinguishers with the same extinguishing-agent charge to be compared. This powder extinguisher has fire ratings matching the performance of many cheaper 6 kg powder extinguishers.

Powder extinguishers can be used on burning solid materials (A), flammable liquids (B) and gases (C), as well as electrical equipment energised at up to 1000 V.

• Class A: solid materials and substances that smoulder when burning (wood, paper, textiles, plastics and combustible fibres).
• Class B: flammable liquids and substances that melt when burning (petrol, oil, solvents, resins, adhesives, grease and most plastics).
• Class C: flammable gases (natural gas, acetylene, propane and hydrogen)

The number preceding the letter of a fire class indicates the size of fire that the extinguisher can suppress, based on test results.
