Soft, breathable EVA material
EVA is a soft, flexible, rubber-like material that provides good support. Insoles made from EVA are used in sports shoes, hiking footwear and work shoes.
EVA insoles are exceptionally light and durable and absorb the forces generated when walking. For this reason they are used in footwear expected to perform better than ordinary everyday shoes.
Solid Gear insoles are thin, lightweight and flexible, with small perforations that improve airflow.
Poron® cushioning pads
Red Poron® cushioning pads are visible under the insoles at the heel and ball of the foot. They provide additional cushioning and help absorb impact when walking.
Antibacterial silver thread
The insoles are stitched with antibacterial silver thread, helping the insoles and the inside of the shoes stay fresh and clean for longer.
Replace insoles regularly
Buy an extra pair of insoles when purchasing new shoes. Insoles should be replaced every 3-4 months if the shoes are worn daily and you walk a moderate to very large number of steps during the working day. This helps maintain support, cushioning and freshness for your feet.
Frequently wearing uncomfortable, incorrectly sized or unsupportive shoes in demanding conditions (training, long hikes, daily work) can cause various problems, first in the feet and later in the knees, hips, neck and even headaches, without the wearer realising that poor footwear is the cause. There are also hundreds of nerve endings under the foot. Investing in high-quality, comfortable, supportive work shoes is therefore extremely important.
Even if your workplace does not require protective components, avoid wearing ordinary trainers, street shoes, flip-flops or similar footwear at work. Choose proper work shoes that give the feet good support.
