Water-repellent laminated fabric

Drizzle and melting snow not only make clothing wet but also leave the wearer feeling cold. Working or walking outdoors in these conditions is neither comfortable nor healthy. The water-repellent fabric of this new Snickers Workwear winter jacket keeps the wearer dry for a while in light drizzle.

For extended periods outdoors in heavier rain, however, we recommend trying the waterproof, hooded version of the same jacket!

Effective, environmentally friendly REPREVE® insulation (EN 342)

The light, thin insulation offers excellent thermal performance and is made of 90% Repreve® recycled polyester and 10% conventional recycled polyester.

What makes Repreve® polyester special is that it is produced from recycled plastic bottles while maintaining a high level of quality in the finished material. Manufacturers often face the problem of recycled materials losing durability, resulting in products that do not last. Yet longevity is a cornerstone of environmentally friendly products.

Exceptional freedom of movement from 3D tailoring

Try this jacket on and you will immediately feel how well it fits – almost as if it were made for you! Achieving this comfort and freedom of movement has required considerable attention to detail. Numerous small shaping cuts, seams and specially shaped fabric panels made from different materials give the jacket its three-dimensional construction.

Pre-bent sleeves

For example, the jacket sleeves are shaped during manufacture by means of their cut and seams to follow the natural bend of the arms. This allows unrestricted arm movement and helps prevent the jacket from riding up when you raise your arms.

Shorter front and longer back hem

A jacket that is shorter at the front and longer at the back is comfortable both for driving and for working while bent over. When seated, fabric does not bunch up in your lap; when bending forward to work, the extended back keeps your lower back warm.

A particularly high collar

Notice the jacket collar and its distinctive shape, with a pleasantly soft, warm fleece lining. At the back, it reaches almost halfway up the head, while at the front it sits comfortably beneath the chin. To prevent the zip from injuring the chin, a soft folded-over edge at the top gives the zip slider somewhere to tuck away.

The shape and width of the collar follow the jawline and provide effective protection for the neck against cold wind, snow and rain.

CORDURA® durability

Cordura® fabric is known for its exceptional resistance to abrasion. For this reason, the jacket has Cordura® panels along the bottom hem, across the upper back and on the undersides of the forearms. Reinforcing the areas most exposed to wear extends the jacket’s service life.

POWER POCKET – an insulated phone pocket for cold weather

One of the standout innovations in the new Snickers Workwear jacket is the Power Pocket, an insulated chest pocket for a mobile phone. A PrimaLoft Gold Aerogel insulating panel is placed between the layers on the outer side of the pocket to help prevent the phone battery from draining too quickly in freezing temperatures.

The waterproof zip helps keep moisture away from the phone in the chest pocket. The pocket also includes a press-stud fastening holder for a work ID badge.

Functional pockets inside and out

The jacket also has several thoughtfully positioned pockets of different sizes. Two external zipped side pockets are lined with soft fleece. Inside the right front panel is a spacious mesh pocket; inside the lower left front panel is a wide-opening pocket, with two pen pockets above it.

Thoughtful details throughout

Having covered the main features that make this a premium jacket, it is worth pointing out that it also includes many smaller details, each quietly performing its own useful function.

For instance, the cuffs have a special design: a slightly extended edge over the back of the hand allows rainwater to run off. The sleeves also feature elastic inner cuffs with thumbholes. Durable, high-quality hook-and-loop fastenings allow the cuff width to be adjusted.

The lower hem can also be adjusted using the sewn-in elastic drawcord and stoppers on either side. For safety, the end of the drawcord is sewn to the jacket so it cannot snag on anything.

High-quality YKK zip and WASA press studs

The jacket features numerous reinforced seams, carefully positioned in areas where ordinary seams tend to fail. This improves the overall durability of the jacket.

Attractive reflective details on the sleeves and lower back also help make the wearer more visible at dusk or in darkness when illuminated by lights.
