Insulation and ventilation

Different knitted structures in the long johns make them functional by responding to the needs of different parts of the body.

In areas that perspire most, the knit is thinner and sometimes even mesh-like to release excess heat quickly and keep the body drier. Elsewhere, the fabric is denser and warmer. At the bottoms of the legs, the knit becomes looped to retain even more body heat.

No outer leg seams

Another key advantage is the absence of outer leg seams. The inside-leg seam is stretchy and very soft. During long periods of intensive activity (long hikes, active working days, marathons, etc.), seams can cause chafing. This design takes that into account: the soft seams on the inner thighs do not chafe.
