Exceptionally durable TechShell uppers

These lightweight, comfortable and waterproof safety ankle boots make every step a pleasure while providing effective protection.

The tough, durable TechShell uppers are water-repellent yet breathable. The fabric contains highly abrasion-resistant fibres woven into it (abrasion resistance of 600 000 cycles).

The Sany-Dry® mesh lining is breathable and quick-drying.

100% waterproof Gore-Tex® membrane

Beneath the TechShell uppers is a waterproof Coretex® membrane that makes the footwear 100% waterproof. Coretex® is the best material to date for providing both 100% waterproofness and breathability.

However, during particularly active work involving a lot of movement, the material may eventually be unable to release excess heat quickly enough. Feet may then sweat slightly. For continued comfort, a thin merino wool sock is recommended: it absorbs moisture, resists unpleasant odours and maintains a dry feeling for longer.

Merino wool can absorb moisture equivalent to up to 30% of its own weight and still feel dry. Wool also keeps feet warm when wet, so there is no risk of illness caused by damp feet.

Reliable Boa® fastening system

The Boa® fastening system improves footwear security, stability, ease of use, durability and safety. Boa® has been tested in the most extreme conditions: water and sand, mud and dust, cold and heat, and withstands them all.

Putting the boots on and taking them off is quick and easy, even with one hand or while wearing work gloves. Boa® holds the footwear evenly and securely throughout the working day, allowing precise micro-adjustment to the foot. Safety is also improved because there are no loose laces that could get caught.

The strong steel cable consists of 49 extremely fine stainless-steel strands covered with a durable nylon coating. The Boa® fastening system carries a warranty for the lifetime of the footwear.

Functional sole

The Foot-Pad insole is exceptionally soft and breathable, with low electrical resistance (ESD). Thanks to very low-density polyurethane, the insole moulds itself to the foot, distributes body weight optimally and provides immediate comfort. Special shock-absorbing cushioning beneath the heel protects the feet and adds comfort.

The lightweight, flexible PU/TPU outsole has low electrical resistance (ESD). The durable polyurethane sole is oil-resistant (FO) and slip-resistant (SRC), with a self-cleaning tread. The newly designed heel absorbs impacts, while its raised rear section helps generate forward propulsion when walking. This is particularly useful for people who take many steps during the working day. The wider heel contact area also reduces the risk of slipping, and its tread helps prevent slipping on wet surfaces.

The toe area has an abrasion-resistant TPU reinforcement.

Wide last, aluminium safety toe cap and puncture-resistant APT sole

The 11 Mondopoint last width provides greater comfort, while the lightweight aluminium toe cap protects the toes effectively.

The puncture-resistant midsole made from strong APT textile has low electrical resistance and protects against sharp objects. It is also lightweight and flexible and provides protection across the entire sole.

Use, care and service life of work footwear

Work footwear is designed to protect and support feet during work. Do not use good work shoes as tools: do not knock objects into place with them or lift heavy objects on the safety toe cap; use proper tools for such jobs. This helps valuable work footwear remain in good condition longer.

The service life of work footwear cannot be predicted in advance. Depending on the working environment, frequency of wear, daily step count, careful maintenance and how well the model suits the specific conditions, it may range from 6 months to a year or even a couple of years under very favourable conditions.

If work footwear is worn every day for 8h, replace the insoles every 4 months. This helps keep the shoes fresher and provides the best support.
