Water-repellent full-grain leather uppers

Full-grain leather remains one of the most highly regarded materials for shoe uppers. This is because of its combination of properties, which synthetic materials have not been able to replicate. Full-grain leather is durable and flexible, water-repellent and breathable.

COFRA Frigg safety shoes are made from high-quality full-grain leather. Regular treatment with leather grease or another suitable care product is recommended. This helps maintain the leather’s natural properties and extends the service life of the shoes.

These safety shoes have a very stable construction and carry the ESD marking. They are suitable for use in electronics manufacturing and other environments requiring footwear with low electrical resistance (electrical resistance between 0.75 and 100).

Convenient BOA® quick fastening

BOA® adds convenience, durability and safety to the shoes. It has been tested under the most extreme conditions: in water and sand, mud and dust, cold and heat. Its strong steel cable consists of 49 extremely fine strands of stainless steel enclosed in a durable nylon coating.

Putting on and taking off the shoes is quick and easy. The cable can be tightened with one hand without removing work gloves. BOA® holds the shoes evenly and securely in place throughout the working day. Very fine adjustment increments allow the BOA® tension to be tailored precisely to each foot. BOA® also improves safety: there are no loose laces that could catch on anything.

The BOA® quick-fastening system is warranted for the service life of the shoes.

The BOA® dial on COFRA Frigg safety shoes is positioned centrally. In most cases the position of the BOA® dial makes no difference, but in certain working environments or postures a side-mounted BOA® dial may get in the way. On the other hand, a side-mounted BOA® dial offers more room for winding the cable tight.

Durable PU/TPU outsole

The outsole material is important for boots in terms of both slip resistance and the temperature range of use. Outsoles made entirely from PU become stiff and slippery in cold conditions.

By contrast, the ESD-marked PU (polyurethane)/TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) outsoles of COFRA Frigg safety shoes provide better grip and retain good performance at sub-zero temperatures.

A TPU reinforcement at the toe and durable fabric reinforcements on the inside and outside of the heel improve durability.

Top Comfort ESD insole

The anatomically shaped, soft and comfortable Top Comfort ESD insole supports the foot and absorbs impacts when walking. The antistatic insole, made from scented polyurethane, has small ventilation holes to improve breathability. It absorbs moisture and helps keep the feet dry.

Breathable and moisture-absorbing Sany-Dry® lining

Sany-Dry® is a breathable and abrasion-resistant 3D fabric made from 100% polyester. It wicks away moisture and helps keep feet dry. It is also covered with a durable Lycra® outer fabric.

Metal-free safety components and wide fit

These safety shoes have a fibreglass toe cap (200 J) to protect against heavy falling objects. An ESD-marked, penetration-resistant midsole made from strong yet lightweight and flexible APT Plus textile (Zero Perforation) protects the feet against sharp objects on the ground.

The shoes have a comfortable, well-fitting wide last (11 Mondopoint).
