TAMREX goat-leather work gloves with hook-and-loop cuffs
These goat-leather work gloves have cotton-fabric backs and hook-and-loop fastenings above the wrists. Versatile yet simple, they provide comfort and a good sense of touch for customers looking for an economical option.
These work gloves were among the first so-called new-generation, high-dexterity soft gloves and helped transform the market about 20 years ago. At the time they were state of the art and gradually replaced heavy-duty gloves made from thick split pigskin and knitted gloves with blue grip dots. Even today, this is one of the most copied glove designs in Europe, with similar models found in almost every glove retailer’s range.
Although they may now seem a little old-fashioned, they remain a good option for cost-conscious workers seeking straightforward gloves. The main changes over time have been a switch from the original pigskin to softer, more tactile goat leather, plus some improvements to fit.
The cotton backs and hook-and-loop cuffs add comfort and keep the gloves securely in place. As these gloves are rarely used in industrial applications, their protective properties have not been tested.
Nevertheless, modern technologies have greatly improved the fit, dexterity and comfort of work gloves. As alternatives, the 44-315 or 44-317 goat-leather work gloves are also worth trying.
