Welcome to the brand-new Snickers Workwear parka! The previous parka was a real success and was sold for 10 consecutive years. Now it is time to make improvements and introduce a new favourite for the next 10 years.

The Snickers Workwear waterproof, warm, durable, lightweight and exceptionally comfortable parka is a reliable companion for the winters ahead.

Tested waterproof performance (EN 343)

Rain and melting snow not only make clothing wet but also leave the wearer feeling cold. Working or walking outdoors in these conditions is neither comfortable nor healthy. This new Snickers Workwear parka is a warm, waterproof jacket with a longer cut that meets the waterproofing requirements of EN 343. Its seams are taped, and a press-stud fastening storm flap over the front zip protects against wind and rain.

Waterproof jackets are often made from stiff, dense laminated materials. The Snickers Workwear parka, however, feels noticeably soft. Its fabric is flexible and slightly stretchy.

Bear in mind that you can still become wet inside waterproof clothing if your work is so strenuous that moisture builds up on the inside. If you get too warm, release excess heat: open the zip briefly, remove a mid-layer or take a similar measure.

When choosing clothing for the cold season, consider how physically demanding your activities will be. Select a base layer or thermal underwear, a mid-layer and a weather-resistant outer layer accordingly.

Warm and comfortable hood

The parka has a warm, comfortable and attractive hood. Its shape keeps the field of vision clear, while a slightly projecting peak protects the face from precipitation. The detachable hood can be adjusted around the face and at the back of the head using an elastic drawcord.

Effective, environmentally friendly REPREVE® insulation (EN 342)

The light, thin insulation offers excellent thermal performance and is made of 90% Repreve® recycled polyester and 10% conventional recycled polyester.

What makes Repreve® polyester special is that it is produced from recycled plastic bottles while maintaining a high level of quality in the finished material. Manufacturers often face the problem of recycled materials losing durability, resulting in products that do not last. Yet longevity is a cornerstone of environmentally friendly products.

Exceptional freedom of movement from 3D tailoring

Try on this parka and you will immediately notice how well it fits – almost as though it were made for you!
Considerable effort has gone into achieving this comfort and freedom of movement. Numerous small shaping cuts, seams and fabric panels with different shapes and materials give the parka its three-dimensional construction.

Pre-bent sleeves

For example, the cut and seams create pre-bent sleeves that follow the natural bending of the arms. This allows unrestricted arm movement and helps prevent the parka from riding up when the arms are raised.

Longer cut for better warmth retention

The parka has a longer cut than a conventional winter jacket, keeping a greater part of the body covered by an insulating layer.

A particularly high collar

Notice the parka’s collar: lined with pleasantly soft, warm fleece, it has a distinctive shape. At the back it reaches almost halfway up the head, while at the front it sits comfortably below the chin. A soft folded-over edge at the end of the zip covers the slider to protect the chin.

The shape and width of the collar follow the jawline and provide effective protection for the neck against cold wind, snow and rain.

CORDURA® durability

Cordura® fabric is known for its excellent abrasion resistance. That is why the parka features Cordura® panels at the lower hem, across the upper back and on the underside of the forearms. Reinforcing the areas most exposed to wear extends the jacket’s service life.

POWER POCKET – an insulated phone pocket for cold weather

One distinctive innovation of the new Snickers Workwear parka is the Power Pocket, an insulated chest pocket for storing a phone. A PrimaLoft Gold Aerogel insulation panel is fitted between the outer layers of the pocket to help prevent the phone battery from draining too quickly in freezing temperatures.

The waterproof zip helps keep moisture away from the phone in the chest pocket. The pocket also includes a press-stud fastening holder for a work ID badge.

Functional pockets inside and out

The parka also has numerous cleverly positioned pockets of different sizes: two large external flap pockets with press-stud fastenings, a roomy mesh pocket inside the right front panel, a wide-opening pocket at the bottom of the left inner panel and two pen pockets above it.

Thoughtful details throughout

Alongside the main features that make this a premium parka, there are many smaller design details, each quietly serving a specific purpose.

Elasticated inner cuffs with thumbholes at the ends of the sleeves add comfort when raising the arms and help keep the forearms warm. Durable hook-and-loop fasteners allow the sleeve width to be adjusted.

The waist is also adjustable by means of an elastic drawcord sewn into the jacket and cord locks on both sides.

Two-way YKK zip and high-quality WASA press studs

The parka has numerous reinforcing seams, carefully positioned where ordinary seams tend to give way. This improves the durability of the garment as a whole.

Attractive reflective details on the forearms, hood and lower back also help make the wearer more visible in low light and darkness when illuminated by lights.
