Rainy weather need not prevent outdoor activities when a waterproof, comfortable, durable and breathable jacket is available. This 100% waterproof yet breathable jacket is a thin, lightweight outer layer for days when work outdoors continues in the rain. The jacket meets the EN 343 rainwear standard. The durable fabric is complemented by a waterproof YKK AquaGuard® zip and taped seams.

Breathable

This 100% waterproof rain jacket can release excess body heat. However, its capacity has limits, so extra ventilation is advisable during very active work. For example, loosen the elasticated bottom hem if it has been tightened, and release the hook-and-loop fasteners at the sleeve ends. Otherwise, body moisture will gradually accumulate inside the jacket and leave the wearer feeling wet.

A good merino-wool garment is recommended under the rain jacket, such as a lighter or heavier Woolpower merino top. It can absorb moisture and retain warmth even when wet, This helps keep colds at bay.

3D design provides freedom of movement

With its understated, attractive design, this rain jacket is comfortable because the carefully shaped 3D panels follow the body and its movements. The longer back protects the lower back, while pre-bent sleeves provide a notably good fit and freedom of movement. Other features include a well-fitting, adjustable hood and extended sleeve ends that allow raindrops to run off.

The range includes an all-black rain jacket and a version with neon-yellow panels. The neon-panel version does not meet the Hi-Vis clothing standard, but provides additional safety by making the wearer easier to see in low light.

Rain trousers and rubber boots should not be forgotten

Effective protection in rainy weather requires a complete outfit. A rain jacket alone is not enough: water will soon run onto the trousers, which will become wet before long.
