Connects Luma detectors to a mobile phone via WiFi

Housegard Luma Hub turns home fire safety into a smart system. Connect Luma smoke alarms, a carbon monoxide alarm and a temperature sensor to the Hub and monitor the whole system directly from your phone.

A home WiFi network and a Wi-Fi router operating at 2.4 GHz are required.

Alarm notifications on your phone

You receive a notification when any connected detector triggers an alarm, allowing you to respond immediately. You are also notified if a smoke alarm is removed from its mounting plate or reattached.

Testing and silencing via a mobile phone

You can silence alarms and test detectors from your phone, even when you are away.

Monitor battery levels on your phone

You receive notifications when a detector's battery is running low.

Controlled via the Smart Life app

Download the Smart Life app from AppStore or GooglePlay and create an account. After signing in, connect the Hub to the mains and then to the Smart Life app on your phone (make sure Bluetooth is enabled on the phone).

Add all Luma detectors to start using your new smart home fire safety system.

Housegard Luma detectors

Luma smoke alarms and the control unit communicate wirelessly in the home even without an internet connection or Hub. This means that an alarm from one smoke alarm triggers alarms throughout the system, even if the internet connection is lost.

However, a working internet connection and a Hub are required to receive notifications on a mobile phone, monitor devices remotely and use the app's features.

Without a Hub:

• Detector alarms sound locally
• No notifications are sent to the phone
• No WiFi connection required

With a Hub:

• Detector alarms sound locally
• Notifications are sent to the phone
• Remote testing and monitoring of detectors via the Smart Life app
• Extra features: battery level, low-battery warning, ambient temperature around the smoke alarm during an alarm and carbon monoxide concentration (ppm) for the carbon monoxide alarm.
