Detects carbon monoxide levels
The Housegard Luma carbon monoxide alarm detects carbon monoxide concentrations in the air using a new, improved electrochemical CO sensor.
Carbon monoxide is an invisible, tasteless and odourless but extremely dangerous gas that can only be detected by an alarm fitted with a suitable sensor. When inhaled, carbon monoxide binds to blood and affects oxygen transport, potentially causing serious health effects ranging from feeling unwell, headaches and vomiting to fatal consequences after exposure to large amounts or over a long period.
A carbon monoxide alarm must be installed in every building or room with a solid-fuel heating system, including homes with a wood-burning stove, cooker or fireplace, as well as a gas water heater.
Compatible with the Luma Hub
This carbon monoxide alarm is compatible with the Luma Hub, which can send alerts directly to your mobile even when you are away. Connection to the hub also lets you view carbon monoxide levels (ppm), test and silence the alarm as needed and monitor battery status.
Compatible with the Luma remote control
The carbon monoxide alarm is also compatible with the Luma remote control, making it easy to test the alarm and silence it before ventilating the room.
5-year batteries (included)
The carbon monoxide alarm comes with two batteries with a service life of 5 years. When depleted, they can be replaced with new ones.
10-year lifetime
The carbon monoxide alarm has a maximum service life of 10 years. It must then be replaced with a new unit.
Carbon monoxide alarms save lives
If there is a risk of carbon monoxide leakage in your home, be sure to fit a carbon monoxide alarm. Check the homes of elderly parents too and advise them on the need for protection.
Important! A carbon monoxide alarm does not replace a smoke alarm, nor vice versa. Many households need both types of alarm.
